Carola Weymouth

Since an early age I always loved eating and through that love I discovered my love of cooking-which seemed the greatest gift as it not only made myself but many other people happy. Originally from Germany I was formally trained in Paris, working with some of the great chefs and patissiers, where I discovered the real heat of professional kitchens. Feeling restless I decided to move into food journalism, where I had an exiting career as a food editor for 10 years spanning over three countries and numerous titles. After the birth of my children I discovered that many of my children’s friends where amazed about the fact that we always cooked delicious food at home and that my kids where allowed to help and create their own dishes. Cookie Crumbles came along as a business opportunity and the rest is history...

For as long as I can remember I’ve always loved cooking, so along with this and a keen interest in all areas of food I embarked on a degree in Nutrition. It was during a volunteer program, teaching cookery lessons to mentally disabled children, that I found my niche. This became my driving force to specialise in paediatric nutrition. The spirit and verve of children when they are cooking is something truly magical and working with Cookie Crumbles is certainly a unique experience every day! I am passionate about children’s health and nutrition, so to be able to encourage this in such a fun, positive environment is a great pleasure for me.

Gillian Pearson

My love for cooking stems from my mother. My career commenced in teaching children for 8 enjoyable years, I then decided to have a change  and embarked on a freelance catering career for 5 years in Dublin. After my move from Ireland to London I trained in Leith's School of food and wine for 9 months. I met Carola soon afterwards and her exciting Cookie Crumbles where I discovered I could combine my love of teaching children and cooking.
